Kor is the eldest noble son of a cadet family line, the Obmars, belonging the noble House Lokane, a senatorial family of the city-state of Tyr. Kor's scheming uncles Antor and Rulius hatched assassination plots against several key members of House Lokane proper, and thereafter managed to take over the great family estate. Not long after, Alayna Lokane, the young and rightful matriarch of the family, returned to Tyr after a long absence, and quickly outmaneuvered the Obmar family and ousted them from the House Lokane estate. After the two uncles were killed and she resumed control of the family army, Alayna sent House Lokane's army to the Obmar family farms north of the main farmlands of Tyr. The Obmars, children and all, were hung by the slave-soldiers. Kor only narrowly escaped this fate, fleeing to the desert.

Lady Alayna has continued to search for Kor over the last three years, determined to eliminate the last member of a side of the family that attempted to seize the House Lokane name and estate. Kor has already evaded a bounty hunter or two, and has fled into the remote environs of the city-state of Tyr. For a time he tried living at Laerno's Village as a farmhand, but was not well liked and was almost assassinated there. Kor currently dares live in the only known outpost in the Dragon's Swath, called Fedder's Stone. A re-possessed castle of the ancients, Kor has been a salt slave-miner task master and a guard for the monthly mekillot supply wagon that comes out from Tyr. For nearly a year Kor has been unmolested by assassins or spies from House Lokane.

Military Training

Kor was brought up to become an officer over the House Lokane slave-soldier army like his uncle Rulius. He was trained in weapons, tactics and drill by Rulius, and in his youth marched as a cadet in a senatorial legion sent against a gith horde, where he first killed. When his uncles Antor and Rulius seized control of House Lokane from the rightful family line, Kor was finally made an ensign over the House Lokane army, and served in this capacity for some eight months. Some days after his uncle Rulius was assassinated, who was acting commander of the slave-soldier army, the little slave army marched on the Obmar farms, where Kor was visiting his family.

Kor's Plans

As the last of the Obmars, it may be possible for Kor to personally assume control of House Lokane if Lady Alayna and her nephews Badrias and Somnis were out of the picture. Certain other noble families, templars and business interests might be interested in a new head to House Lokane. It also may be possible to pursue justice against Lady Alayna in the Tyrian courts.
