Thrius reviews the field and the destruction he has wrought after the Battle of Triwaters in the winter of 887 A.M.

Youth

Of low status, a dwarven orphan, son of a low warrior named Garwus, born at the settlement of Ashkadror outside of Thorogdenia, his mother was killed in drow raids. Thrius grew up with his paternal uncle and cousins at Thorogdenia itself. Working well under his domineering uncle, he eventually received the “fire of Takron,” his work hammer catching ablaze. This happened at a remarkably early age however. He was taken to a master forger, one named Urgskalis, who taught him well the traditions of a master forger of Takron.

Early Adventures

Membership with the Gondolas

Involvement with the Assassination of Cyrus Glenwill

Founding of Thrius' Forge at Mirsaki and the Invention of the Micro-Link Whip

Battle of the Goblin Hills and the Meeting with Gepsillium

The Final Battle Against Nisiz Tan

High Priesthood

As high priest, Thrius has been elevated by the High King of the Chaldean dwarves Thelloker VIII of House Thelloker. The former high priest, and runner up, is Grandmaster Zaerdok Spent (13th level). Thrius has been given the House of Takron. The high priest is given vast estates managed by various sub-lords earning him an income of 20,000 gold pieces a year (see below). It used to be greater, before the drow city of Anarphatessen grew strong again, taking more lands, (not the imperial capital, Anekstop Denetopholon)

Lord, Benefices, Thanes

Long ago, the great dwarven noble house Bejord, which was without sons, divested their family name and all their wealth and lands to the position of the High Priest of Ta'kron, whomever it might be at any given time. Since then, other families, heroes and even high-kings have added to the High Priest's benefices, raising the titular 'Lordship of House Bejord', a title which the High Priest receives upon his elevation, to one of the most wealthy and powerful of dwarven princes.

There is no official restriction to the use of these lands and incomes, but in all the history of House Bejord, no High Priest has ever sold off landed estates bound under the noble house's monicker. Furthermore, the estates and lands are generally expected to be administered by various lords, thanes, knights and others, who draw upon the High Priest's income. Besides this, a large number of sub-benefices are drawn by subordinate priests and other schools and selected artisans. The vast bulk of the estate's income however is swallowed by the Sevven Rack in Thorogdenia, or Temple of All-Wisdom, the seat of Ta'kron's wisdom on earth, around which an entire temple district is built.

Five thanes and one subordinate lord currently administer the six vast estates of the High Priest of Ta'kron. The current chief administer of these estates, appointed by Grandmaster Forger Zaerdok, is the old dwarf Ebanagen. Although officially in charge of all the High Priest's estates, apanages, thanages and other incomes and lands, as Master Steward Ebanagen is neither lord nor thane, and in general sees mostly to accounting.

Due to the war, the High Priest's personal income has fallen to a mere 20,000 gp a year. This could be appreciably modified by the efforts of the High Priest himself or his servants.

Only two of Thrius' five thanes have survived the Great War against Ordos, namely thane Mashau of Ushwellow and thane Verdin. Recently, Mashau, as thane of Ushwellow, has received Rogaldorn as a subordinate thane, who was given lordship of Ushwellow castle and much of the surrounding lands by Thrius himself. The hero of the Battle of Ushwellow for slaying the drow over-archmage Prince Sentopholous, Rogaldorn may both be the thane of Mashau as well as the direct thane of Thrius, but the High Priest has not yet condescended to clarify Rogaldorn's position as one of the five senior thanes serving Thrius.

Description

. The dwarf was dressed in dense dwarven field plate which shone a dull gray. A rounded shield of enchanted steel inlaid with a golden goose was slung around his back. His belt was readied with a long sword which carried on the ground, and a battle axe was ready on his back. Staked into the ground beside him was an enormous iron pole with a dreadful point on the implanted side. On the dwarf’s head was an enormous battle helm. The visor was up, but were it down in battle position, one would see a horned troll lord’s skull staring back at you. At a large satchel at his back hung a war hammer just in case. Daggers were strewn about the priest’s body at intervals. Thrius’ famous whip was ready in his hands.
