Personal Background
Narseus was born in the Balican slave pens of House Tromblador in FY -1. Born to a rather unassuming human house slave who was forced to mate with a Dwarven gladiator of minor repute, Narseus was destined to be a slave gladiator before conception. Narseus' mother died giving birth as is usual for Mul mothers. His father was later killed fighting in the arena with honor, both he and his arena partner were slain by multiple Silt Runner's. Growing up in blood and sand, the boy was taught by House Tromblador's Weapons Master. In his youth he longed for the glory of the arena, being naive he thought one earned their place in the upper tiers of Balican society. Narseus came to understand he would never be looked upon as anything more than entertainment, an expensive toy for the elite born to station. The Mul learned quickly to fight with all manner of weapons and did so expertly, employing his tremendous strength to dispatch enemies quickly. When he finally tasted combat in the Criterion at Balic, he ensured none would find much entertainment and quickly cleaved down all they put before him. There would be no thrill or excitement, merely a waste of the reavers hard earn catch.
After a many games, his owners knew not what to do with such a beast, he was too expensive to let go but would not bring fans to the stands. So in an attempt to recoup some of their investment they allowed the Mul to accompany a House Tromblador reaver in catching exciting new animals for the game. Narseus came to enjoy this line of work, for he was free to see the world and had all his wants and needs taken care for by his patrons. He grew content and worked hard for House Tromblador. He caught all manner of creature and was slowly learning the way by ____ given his new found freedom. That is until he was accused of stealing the silt worm of another reaver. Quickly taken by the authorities and sent to the Arena to fight with no weapons, Narseus somehow prevailed though gravely was he wounded. Now losing his freedom, he was sent to prison until the reaver could catch a new silt worm of equal value. Narseus sat in there occasionally visited by _____, honing his mind and keeping his muscles strong.
When Xal'gren arrived in Balic the gladiator was released and told he was no longer a prisoner nor a slave. With such freedom, the Mul did not know which direction to take his life. So in a desperate attempt to find meaning outside the rotting carcasses of the Criterion, Narseus meets with _____ to pursue further training in the way and perhaps employment so he may once again feel content.
