The House of Milieux were descended from a serjeant, Thelens of Milieux during the first Thousiersian crusade into Dwarden, who by his own hand struck down a glabrethel, a monstrous sorcerer possessed of a demonic spirit encapsulated in rotting flesh. For his heroism, he was knighted in the field, and was given castle Rankorden, the seat of a deceased karden lord, and all his attendant lands.
