History
Mazaros is the last outpost of a nearly extinct people, who are said to have been aborigines of the area. They were early on defeated by the Kanosians, and their high king was killed in battle. After this defeat, a band of Mazarosians fled deep into the mountains, where they founded Mazaros for protection from the Kanosians. Other settlements were founded, but did not last so long.

The senate of Mazaros originally consisted of 17 senators. There are however only 15 seats for the senators, as the original 17 were reduced by two in number before long.
Rules of the Senate: The king is generally considered to be the First of the Senate. The king may give out the king’s rod to any senator, thus allowing him to speak. The king is always assumed to be able to recall the rod, so therefore he can control the debates of the senate. The king generally convokes the senate, but any senator may call for a quorum (at least half of the senate) and thus initiate a session of the senate, at which point a First Senator is elected for the session. Etc.
Membership in the Senate: Originally the senatorial seats passed by familial descent, and as it may be that this tradition continues, prospective senators may garner a seat for themselves by buying off the current senators with gifts and favor.

- Description: Slightly ruddy with a wider face, he has red flares in his shaved black hair. He sports a yellow, red and green costume, and carries a short sword, although he knows little how to use it. He has a great horse.
- History: Rialphau, son of Kararau, is from a fairly rich family in Mazaros, and they own much land and several flocks of sheep. Rialphau’s family has, from centuries past, the blood of the Kersorin Kanosian tribe in them, and thus he is viewed with some suspicion. Kararau died by the hands of an orc only a few months before the arrival of Demetrius, Lars St. Morninglory and Anderis Krusak.
